Mâcon-Villages JP Château de Javernand

Description

White
Finesse and minerality !

Annual production: 4,000 bottles
Soil: clay-loam
Grape variety: Chardonnay, Guyot pruning (baguette)
Age of the plots: 20 to 50 years
Harvest: harvesting machine
Yield: 60 hl per hectare
Vinification: Direct pressing then settling. Fermentation at low temperature in vats, then aging on fine lees to promote roundness. Bottling: May/June.
Tasting note: the Chardonnay grape variety is easily recognizable thanks to its golden color and then to the first very fresh aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. The general impression of finesse and purity is also based on a beautiful minerality, characteristic of the south of the Mâconnais.
This cuvée from Mâcon-Villages, JP, bears the initials of Pierre's father, Jacques PROST, who vinified it until 2013 before handing over to the new generation.
