The legendary Côte du Py is an exceptional terroir in Beaujolais which gives the wine very recognizable flavors of kirsch. Location: “Côte du Py”. Type of soil: Decomposed shales. Altitude: 300m. Exposure: South. Viticulture: Severe pruning in spring. Vinification: Traditional with maceration in grilled vats for 12 to 14 days. Ageing: 8 months in vats, including 10% in barrels.
