Even if the vines were planted by the Romans on the slopes of Régnié-Durette, it was not until 1988 that the quality of the wines was recognized and that the appellation was registered as a Beaujolais cru, by the INAO. This cuvée accurately expresses the richness and depth of Gamay. The vines planted in 1948 give this wine the soul of the terroir. Jean-Michel has chosen to age only 30% of the cuvée in oak barrels so as not to mark the wine but to bring it complexity.
